Walking, well, sort of...

During Kinsey's 9 Month Well Child appointment, her pediatrician informed us that Kinsey was "advanced" in her physical and language development.  She told us that she predicted that by Kinsey's first birthday Kinsey would be well beyond walking and may even be stacking things on top of each other to access counters and other off limit areas.

What Dr. Brucker hadn't anticipated was knee walking.  Just a few days after turning nine months old, Kinsey started to walk on her knees instead of crawling.  We thought that this would be a quick stepping stone to regular walking, but we were wrong.  Kinsey spent two months only walking on her knees.  Apparently, the beauty of this technique was that she could carry two toys at once and not worry about falling over.

Finally, at just over eleven months old, Kinsey's knees had enough of the abuse and she decided to give "big girl" walking a chance.  The second video was taken just a few days ago, but since then she's already advanced to walking almost full time.  She still falls down quite a bit, but she seems to think that it's well worth the excitement of finally being able to look down at the kitties.

On a side note, the kitties are not amused or impressed.
